We've all seen the updated profile screen, which was generally well received, so today I bring you a new redesigned page. One which I personally feel desperately needed an update, as it was cluttered and unorganized.

Yes, I'm aware that particular red, on that particular gray hurts your eyes, it hurts mine too. If you have any ideas on how to improve it, just like with the profile screen, the .tpl file is up for you to download and mess around with.

Note:
If you're going to e-mail me (umbra.aeternus@gmail.com) an edited .tpl file, do not copy paste the HTML into the e-mail but attach the file as an attachment -___-;
Note 2:
The HTML references css classes, divHeader, divContainer, and divFooter, these classes are used for the collapsing parts, and determine the visual look of the header / footer and the side border. If you want to change them simply insert them as inline CSS, and I will implement them in the layout CSS.
"You have x unread Pm's"
the server seems to be choking in the query that checks how many unread Pm's you have. Because of that we're going to try disabling it for a bit, unfortunately this means you will no longer be receiving notification about new Pm's for the duration of the test, which should be no more than a few days (unless the FTP dies again... ... ...)
you'll get your notifications back as soon as either:
A) it turns out is has no impact on the parsetimes (PARSE times, not load times)
B) it turns out to have an impact, and I code an alternate method

| Due to the high instability of the servers they have been moved from the previous server central to a new one. The new network is currently still being set up and worked on, which is why you might experience frequent timeouts during the next 24 hours. |

Don't you people know the meaning of the word "sleep"?
I wake up and find 5 frelling topics of people whining and spamming the hell out of the forum somehow thinking that spamming and whining will magically wake me up in the middle of the night just to repair the user table.
learn some frelling patience, and be aware that Terr and I are from the same timezone and as such, will most likely be asleep at the similar time spans. Expecting us to fix a crashed usertable while we're asleep is plain ridiculous.
regardless, it's fixed now. Next time be patient -___-
or else I'll just keep it crashed for a day or two.
Server clocks are out of sync again
I'm sure we all remember what this means from last time... but for the slow people amongst us:
- Tavern posts will be ordered wrong or will not show up
- Battle turns will switch without you getting your turn
- Regen will be screwed up
- Pm times will be screwed up
etc etc, everything timer-related will screw up ~__~
Any and all complaints about our insane amount of server isues lately go to computinghost (our host) not us. Since this is not something me or Terr have any control over...
Currently, the FTP is down too, so I can't even do something like lock down the site >__> go figure. |
